Metallica's 'Hardwired... To Self-Destruct' returns to No. 2 on Billboard chart

Metallica's Hardwired… To Self-Destruct debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the record has once again landed in the Top 10, hitting No. 2 last week.

Last week, it boasted 65,000 units—up 413 percent—with 63,000 being traditional album sales, as Billboard reports.

Why the bump? It follows the sales generated from the band's ticket/album sale redemption offer for the band’s upcoming tour.

Back in February, the band announced a massive North American tour for fall in support of the record, and each ticket purchase was accompanied by a physical or digital copy of Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.

Not to mention, Metallica's Hardwired… To Self-Destruct came in at the top spot of Billboard's Top Rock Albums Of 2017, followed by Imagine Dragons' Evolve and Twenty One Pilots' Blurryface at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
