Microsoft is getting rid of Microsoft Paint, and the internet isn’t having it

Microsoft is gearing up for its next big update, and they’re guaranteeing that there are going to be a variety of new features. All seems well for most other applications—except Microsoft Paint.

According to The Guardian, Microsoft Paint is on the chopping block, and the internet is devastated.

According to The Guardian, the program was released with the first version of Windows (properly titled Windows 1.0) all the way back in 1985, and while it’s gone through a few changes here or there throughout the years, not much has changed for our favorite Microsoft application.

Looking at Microsoft's “features that are removed or deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update” list, Microsoft Paint has sadly joined the ranks of Outlook Express, Reading List and more.
