Airing across the United States to start Suicide Prevention Week on Sunday, Sept. 9, the two-hour live broadcast will highlight personal stories from artists and bands in an effort to end the stigma of talking about mental health.

The commercial-free show — hosted by 99.9 FM KISW’s BJ Shea — will also feature appearances from Stone Temple PilotsThird Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins, singer/songwriter Charlie Puth and Olympian Michael Phelps.

The live special will feature call-in opportunities and resources to help combat the growing trend of depression and suicide. Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in the U.S., according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
