Watch Miley Cyrus return as Ashley O to play her Nine Inch Nails remix
The last season of Black Mirror featured a highly-discussed cameo from Miley Cyrus which has been backed by Nine Inch Nails ringleader Trent Reznor and she’s bringing back her character Ashley O. for her Instagram live show.
Cyrus took to her Instagram show with a lavender wig, kicking off the episode with a performance of Ashley’s track “On a Roll.”

Back when Black Mirror‘s last season arrived, the internet was all over the revamped pop version of NIN’s “Head Like A Hole.” If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out below.
She also put her personal spin on their track “Right Where It Belongs,” which got a seal of approval from Reznor.

The third Black Mirror episode in the season, “Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too,” has the singer and actress playing the role of a pop star. Instead of focusing on Cyrus’ own music though, they opted to recreate classic Nine Inch Nails tracks.
Now, nearly a year after the season premiered Miley Cyrus is resurrecting Ashley O.
She started by performing “On A Roll” remixing the famous Nine Inch Nails track “Head Like A Hole.” From there, she hosted the remainder of the episode in character.

In the episode, she ended up interviewing Brazillian singer-songwriter Anitta, Zoë Kravitz, artist Ashley Longshore, and Diplo.
This isn’t the first time the character has been used outside of the show though.
Viral rapper Lil Nas X tweeted out a video of Ashley O. with him singing his track “Panini.”

The pair linking up wasn’t overly surprising given Billy Ray Cyrus was featured on the remix of “Old Town Road.”
