Minor Threat recreate ‘Salad Days’ cover 33 years later

The members of the legendary hardcore outfit, Minor Threat have reunited for a photo that was shared on bassist Brian Baker’s Instagram. The group recreated their 1985 album cover from the Salad Days EP.

The full Minor Threat lineup of Baker, Ian MacKaye, Lyle Preslar and Jeff Nelson gathered at Dischord House in Arlington, Virginia yesterday. Baker shared the photo with the clever caption, “Senior Threat.”

While some fans immediately began hoping for a reunion with the original lineup, Baker cleared up any confusion in a story with WTOP.

“This is a non-story,” Baker says. “Jeff insists that we always take a porch shot for posterity when the four of us are at Dischord. This is just the first one we’ve had taken since I’ve had an Instagram account.”

Salad Days is the final record from Minor Threat. Released in July of 1985, Salad Days is composed of three songs.
