Additionally, Lavigne recently told fans on Instagram that her new music is arriving sometime in 2021. However, there’s a “fun surprise” making its debut at the “top of the year Jan[uary].”

It is unknown whether or not this upcoming surprise will be featured on MOD SUN’s or Avril Lavigne’s new records. However, MOD SUN did reveal back in November that his new album is finished. So, it’s possible that whatever the trio is working on will be part of Lavigne’s upcoming release.

Last month, fans got a taste of MOD SUN’s upcoming album with his new singleKarma.” He previously revealed that both this song and his upcoming release are “the best music” he’s ever created.

“Without a doubt, this is the best music I’ve made in my entire career,” he said. “When John Feldmann and I got into the studio it was lighting in a bottle. I’m writing my most vulnerable music and even playing live drums on my songs for the first time.”

As well, he confirmed that his highly-anticipated LP should be out before we ring in the New Year.

More recently, he debuted his new song “Bones” on Nov. 27. Along with working on new music, MOD SUN has also teamed up with Machine Gun Kelly for the new musical film Downfalls High. The project, which debuts sometime in January, is based on MGK’s new album Tickets To My Downfall.
