Morrissey is working with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong

Morrissey is releasing a covers album, and he’s working with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.

The album California Son will be comprised of cover songs from the 60s and 70s of artists such as Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan.

Morrissey is covering these songs with popular names such as Armstrong, Young the Giant’s Sameer Gadhia, Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste and many more.

Armstrong features on “Wedding Bell Blues” originally by The Fifth Dimension. Lydia Night of The Regrettes also joins Armstrong and Morrissey on the track.

Morrissey has already released a cover of Roy Orbison’s “It’s Over” from the album with LP. You can listen to that below.

The album drops May 24 and you can preorder it here.
