The Mötley Crüe reunion tour is still on until they hear otherwise

Mötley Crüe are staying hopeful they’ll be heading out on their massive co-headlining return tour with Def Leppard and while Tommy Lee previously said everything was still set to go, the band are apparently still waiting to hear about a potential postponement.

In a post about their film The Dirt, numerous fans asked about the status of the tour and they replied saying things are as unclear to them as they are to us.

Tommy Lee previously spoke with Billboard saying the tour will be happening exactly as scheduled.

“Everything’s still a go,” he says. “We’re all in constant communication. Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you fucking kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”

Further in the chat, he says he feels people are going to want to have a good time when re-entering the world as social isolation measures become less restrictive.

“By the time all this fucking apocalyptic bullshit is over, I think everyone’s going to be in a really good mood to go out and have the fucking best time ever. I really do. I hope everyone stays inside, and we can get a fucking grip on this and get back to people having their normal lives.”

Now, things look a bit more up in the air than Lee’s comments led on.

In their post, a fan asked them to “cancel the tour already so your fans can get their money back. No tours are happening this year. Do the right thing. Bon Jovi did.”

The band account replied saying “Bands don’t decide this. We await info as well.”

Another fan asked “is this stadium tour on or off? So confusing with everyone saying different things. Governor said no shows till 2021 so what’s going on? I have VIP”

Mötley Crüe shot back reiterating that “no one has said anything as yet.”
