Mötley Crüe‘s Tommy Lee is already having quite the year. Along with preparing to release his new electro/hip-hop record ANDRO, he also recently teamed up with Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh for a remix of their songTommy Lee.” Now, Lee is showing off the latest additions to his tattoo collection on social media.

Now, Lee is no stranger to tattoos. Since beginning his career, Lee has become known for his ink that covers his arms and various other parts of him. However, up until now, the drummer has refrained from tattooing too much onto his face. All of that now appears to have changed.

Lee took to social media to share the latest additions to his tattoo collection. He posted three photos on Instagram. The first shows that Lee added to his pre-existing star outlines with smaller stars that are filled in. The second photo reveals a set of dots framing around his eyebrow which continue to increase in size.

And, of course, Lee saved the best, and biggest, for last. On the right side of Lee’s face, Japanese characters now cover the space between his temple and jawline. At this time, Lee has not revealed what the Japanese characters mean.

His Mötley Crüe bandmate Nikki Sixx praises the new ink on the Instagram post.

“Looks awesome. I need a tune-up with some of my ink, too. Great,” Sixx says.

According to the post, all of the tattoos were done by artist Mario Barth.

Mötley Crüe were to kick off their tour this month with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett And The Blackhearts. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the tour was postponed indefinitely.
