Now, just a week before the VMAs, there will be three new fan-voted categories: best group, best power anthem and song of the summer. Some of our favorite artists like Halsey, 5 Seconds Of Summer and more are up for brand new nominations.

The MTV VMAs will be hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco (a comedian who apparently knows nothing about music). Den of Thieves co-founders Bruce Gillmer and Jesse Ignatovic have signed on as executive producers. Barb Bialowski, Jackie Barba, Joe Buoye, Alicia Portugal, Amani Duncan and Wendy Plaut are also key members of the creative team.

The VMAs will air August 26 at 9 p.m. EST.
