Another My Chemical Romance show has been postponed

What would be My Chemical Romance‘s first show since their December reunion has now been postponed. The Eden Project gig in Cornwall, UK was announced on Feb. 12

The Eden Project would be just My Chemical Romance’s second gig since returning. They would have had five other shows by now, including Download Festival but were forced to cancel all of them due to coronavirus

The wait just keeps getting longer until we get to see My Chemical Romance again. Their most recent gig was the first of their return, way back on Dec. 20 at the Shrine in Los Angeles.

We were supposed to see them again for five shows in March. Two of them in Australia, two in Japan and one in New Zealand. Unfortunately, all of those were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, we can add one more to that list. My Chemical Romance’s next date was June 16 for the Eden Project’s Eden Sessions

Now, Eden Sessions have announced on all of their channels that the concerts are postponed until next year. Original tickets will remain valid once rescheduled dates are known. But, refunds will also be available. Read the full statement below.

The Eden Project announced today that the Eden Sessions series of concerts planned for June and July this year will not take place but is being rescheduled for next year.

Organisers have been closely assessing the impacts of the global coronavirus pandemic and decided that to ensure the safety and wellbeing of concert-goers, artists, crews, Eden Sessions staff and supporting teams, the Sessions could not go ahead this year.

When shows are rescheduled and dates confirmed, the Eden Project will contact all existing ticketholders with details. Original tickets will remain valid for any show that is rescheduled.

We would like to assure all ticketholders that we share their disappointment but we are sure they will understand why the Sessions cannot go ahead this summer.

We send our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding while we have worked through these unprecedented times to reach this decision. The good news is that the Eden Sessions will be back in the summer of 2021. We are working hard to reschedule artists booked for 2020 to play next year.

To everyone who was looking forward to this year’s Sessions and to all past and future concert-goers we say thanks so much for supporting the Eden Sessions.

We send our very best wishes to all and look forward to welcoming everyone back to what promises be an unforgettable season in the summer of 2021.

With this news, it seems as if the three nights of My Chemical Romance at Milton Keynes, UK might be in jeopardy. AltPress reported just last week that the shows were still moving forward as planned, however.
