It looks like a new My Chemical Romance Funko Pop! may be on the way

Over the past few weeks, Funko has been dropping a number of Pop! figures for collectors to enjoy. From IT to Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas, Funko has been celebrating Halloween early with a number of spooky releases. However, it now appears that a Danger Days-era My Chemical Romance Pop! figure might be on the way.

A new Reddit leak appears to confirm that Funko and My Chemical Romance are teaming up for a Hot Topic exclusive Pop! figurine of a Danger Days-era Gerard Way.

My Chemical Romance and Funko have teamed up together in the past. Back in 2015, MCR launched their very own line of Pop! Rock figures. They first launched Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge figures, followed by The Black Parade figurines that featured some with and without the signature skeleton makeup.

Now, it appears that another MCR Pop! may be on its way soon. Reddit u/TNTeddyPulse took to the Funko thread this week to share a photo of the reported collaboration. The Danger Days-era Pop! figure of Way features him in his Party Poison attire with the iconic red hair. It even includes the yellow ray gun Way used across the era in the “Na Na Na” and “SING” videos.

The new My Chemical Romance Pop! will reportedly be a Hot Topic exclusive just like the brand did with Brendon Urie in 2019. However, at this time, neither Funko or Hot Topic have confirmed the release.

Funko has released various music Pop! figures in the past. Back in January, Marilyn Manson announced his Holy Wood-era Funko Pop!. As well, Slipknot, Weezer, twenty one pilots, blink-182 and many more artists have teamed up with Funko for releases over the years.

Most recently, Funko celebrated Funkoween in May with a number of horror movie-themed Pop! figures. A super-sized Chucky in Child’s Play 2 Pop! and Edward Scissorhands figures were just a few of the many releases announced last month.

As well, Funko also launched a massive horror-themed advent calendar. The 13-Day Spooky Calendar contains 13 Pocket Pop! figures from some of the biggest horror franchises including The Exorcist and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
