My Chemical Romance announce another rescheduled show for 2021
Earlier this year, My Chemical Romance were forced to postpone a slew of dates for their highly-anticipated return tour due to coronavirus.
Now, My Chemical Romance have officially rescheduled their postponed New Zealand date for 2021.

My Chemical Romance first announced their Australia, New Zealand and Japan dates back in November. They were scheduled to hit Download Festival in Sydney and Melbourne alongside artists including Deftones and Jimmy Eat World.
Then, in March, MCR announced that they were postponing their Japanese and Australian/New Zealand tour dates amid the pandemic. Shortly following the news, Download Australia also canceled their 2020 festival dates.
Now, My Chemical Romance have announced the rescheduled date for their New Zealand performance. The band’s new show is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at The Outer Fields at Western Springs in Auckland.

Existing tickets for the show are valid for the rescheduled date. For those that wish to refund their tickets, however, you have until 5 P.M. on Oct. 9 to submit your request. Special guests for the show will be announced at a later date.
The New Zealand show follows a slew of other dates that have been rescheduled for 2021. In June, My Chemical Romance announced the rescheduled dates for their U.S. return tour. As well, they’ve also rescheduled their U.K. and European dates for 2021.
My Chemical Romance previously revealed that they’ve taken out government loans to support their tour crew who is unable to tour at this time.
“MCR received PPP money to ensure their crew is funded in these times of uncertainty until we are able to be out on the road again,” they said. “We are so grateful to these skilled, dedicated people – some of them are parents, others caretakers, still others who simply have rent to pay – and this money helps them take care of themselves and their families.”
