My Chemical Romance fan recreates legendary return show intro track

My Chemical Romance made their massive return to the stage on Dec. 20, 2019. The show was highly anticipated following the announcement of their reunion on Halloween. However, massive speculation still surrounds the intention of My Chemical Romance and their future plans.

But, one dedicated member of the MCRmy recreated the intro track from reunion night and it is the perfect goosebump-inducing content we need to tide us over until the next show.

We’re sure you remember the incredible fan-made video of the entire reunion show that Jeyzeus Hayes of Australia’s R. Tragedy created. If you don’t, experience all that goodness below.

Now, another My Chemical Romance fan made a recorded version of the opening track that played just before that massive angel curtain fell and revealed every one of our dreams. The intro includes bits from a number of My Chemical Romance songs. “Romance,” “Look Alive, Sunshine,” “Sleep,” “Mama” and “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” are all included in the intro. Listen to it below.

Isn’t it wonderful? We think so too. It’s just a perfect amount of nostalgia. That,  combined with enough mystery to make us want more. If you’re unfamiliar with the events of that wonderful night, read how My Chemical Romance put fans first with their stunning performance.

More My Chemical Romance

In the new Netflix series Locke & Key, My Chemical Romance fans believe an alternate version of the band’s name is featured on a poster as My Mild Romance.

This wouldn’t be the first time MCR has been featured in a Netflix series. The first time we noticed was in the first season of The Umbrella Academy, which is based on the comic book of the same name written by frontman Gerard Way.

In the first episode of the series frontman Gerard Way‘s name is featured on the back of Vanya Hargreaves (Number 7, Ellen Page) autobiography.

Following a description of praise that is hard to make out, Way’s “words” appear to be as follows:

“An incredible read… a revealing portal into the amazing life of Vayna Hargreeves and the way she has lived… I couldn’t put it down!”

“In the Umbrella Academy show, the critical praise on the back of Vanya’s autobiography was written by Gerard,” Reddit user Ignoramus430 says.

Now, Reddit user Tau_the_kid posted revealing that there is a possible MCR reference in another Netflix original.

In the post, they uploaded an image of the poster the reads “My Mild Romance” with flowers flowing underneath the words. The poster can be seen in the 6th episode of Locke & Key around the nine-minute mark.

Other eagle-eyed viewers spied the band reference and shared it on Twitter.

Another Twitter user says that the poster is a reference to MCR because Way is the writer of The Umbrella Academy which is also under the same publishing company as Locke & Key, Dark Horse.

The show also names a myriad of cover bands such as Cover Band of Horses (Band Of Horses,) Nerdvana (Nirvana,) the Novemberists (the Decemberists) and Dead Lyft for Cutie (Death Cab for Cutie.) So, it would make a lot of sense if MY Mild Romance was a tribute to My Chemical Romance.
