MySpace lost more than a decade’s worth of music
MySpace loyalists, get ready to cry — the site has lost every song uploaded to it between 2003 and 2015.
That’s right, the platform had more than 50 million songs from 14 million artists, and the company confirmed it’s all gone.

“As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from MySpace. We apologize for the inconvenience,” the site posted in a statement.
The discovery was made after users informed MySpace that music, photos and videos uploaded to the site before 2015 would play or show up.
Many users have been reporting this issue for over a year. It has been detailed in a recent thread on Reddit.
The popularity of MySpace has decreased over the years, it hit peak popularity in 2006. That year, it even surpassed Google as the most popular site in the U.S. The early social media site was founded in 2003.
Many musicians and celebrities have been made through MySpace, including Jeffree Star, the Arctic Monkeys, Black Veil Brides and more.
