Netflix raises monthly subscription price

As previously announced by Netflix in July, the company has enacted a price increase for their most popular streaming plan. Their standard streaming plan, which allows users to watch content in HD on two screens at once, has risen to $9.99 per month, up from $8.99 per month, reports Bloomberg.

The price hike will only effect new subscribers at first, so if you're currently subscribed to Netflix, you've got nothing to worry about for now. Depending on your region, current Netflix users have grace periods where the $8.99 per month price will stay in effect.

If you're a Netflix subscriber, are you annoyed about the price hike? If you're not a subscriber, does the price hike discourage you from subscribing? Let us know in the comments.
