As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has ordered a third season of Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant’s Santa Clarita Diet. The streaming service announced today that the show will be slated for a 10-episode third season that is set to arrive sometime in 2019.

This past April, the series' showrunner Victor Fresco told THR that the writers of the show had already started to work on a third season, saying:

“There's always more story. The whole season one took place over two weeks and season two takes place over two weeks, so they're still only about a month into this incredible change that they're going through.”

In addition to the announcement of the forthcoming third season of Santa Clarita Diet, the popular streaming service also shared that the fifth season of Arrested Development will soon be making its way onto the site.

Netflix dropped the official trailer for the show's upcoming season earlier today, and it confirmed that the new season will premiere on Netflix in just a few weeks, on May 29.
