The Netflix user that watched ‘Bee Movie’ 357 times this year explains why

When Netflix revealed their year-end statistics, we learned plenty about people's interesting streaming habits. Like, you know, the fact that one person watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 365 days in a row, and in the U.K., one user streamed Bee Movie 357 times. (Both our heroes, tbh.)

Well, the woman who streamed Bee Movie 357 times has a perfectly logical reason why. Gemma Chalmer explains that the charming movie keeps her young son Jaxson calm.

“My friends were tagging me in posts, saying, 'This has to be you.' I calculated it—and it might even be more than 357 times,” Chalmers told The Sun. Ever since he was a few weeks old, he's been in love with the film.

“We’ve watched it multiple times a day to keep him happy. He watches the film from the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep at night,” she says. And is Chalmers herself a fan of the film? No, not anymore.

But after seeing the movie 357 times (or more) in one year, we'd be sick of it, too. “He doesn’t even pay attention to it and plays with his toys—but still, it always has to be on,” she says. “We’ve tried Trolls, Cars and other Disney films. But nothing works like the Bee Movie.”

Lucky for Chalmers (and Jaxon), it appears Bee Movie will still be on Netflix in January, but if anyone else has a particular fave movie binge, it might be worth checking to see if it'll still be on Netflix come January
