New Years Day deliver their "fight song" with explosive results

New Years Day have dropped a new, heavy track after Ash Costello teased fans that something intense was coming.

Costello teased a snippet of “Come For Me” on Instagram along with a photo of her covered in blood, saying it was “face-melting heavy.

The short teaser shared one set of lyrics that definitely caught our attention.

“You think you know me? You haven’t seen my type of crazy,” she sings.

In the caption, Costello says fans need to get ready for the album.

“You guys asked for heavy, I told you to be patient. This heavy enough for ya ???? And you were all worried we left out the face melting heavy rifts on this album, never EVER doubt us again,” she wrote.

Now, the full song is here and it lives up to all of the hype. Listen to it for yourself below.

The band called the new track their “fight song” when sharing it on Twitter. They added that it’s “a call to rally everyone who wants to get together and stand against anyone and everyone who’s got something negative to say.”

“Come For Me” is from New Years Day’s upcoming record Unbreakable out April 26.

The band has previously dropped “Skeletons” and “Shut Up” from the album.  You can listen to those below.

““Shut Up” was written in a day, which just doesn’t happen,” Costello says in a story with Blabbermouth. “I was going through some heavy personal stuff, and I was just, ‘Don’t tell me what I want. Shut up and give it to me.’”

“I love heavy riffs, I love headbanging, I love jumping,” Costello says about “Skeletons.” “I love heavy riffage, but I just felt like what New Years Day never had was [a] sing-along, fun chorus with a cool tag.”

Unbreakable will be the band’s first full-length release since 2015’s Malevolence.

The band will hit the road in April with Ice Nine Kills and From Ashes To New as support on Falling In Reverse’s headliner. Check out the dates below with tickets available here.
