In the latest issue of AP, Motionless In White frontman Chris Motionless discusses the band’s setlist for Warped Tour, which will include “at least one” new song. “The one I’m looking at is a song that has a reminiscent sound our core fans are still partial to from Creatures,” he said. “It still has a lot of aspects of what the band does now, but it has a throwback feel.”

Last time we spoke, you said you were going into the studio in spring. Will you be playing new songs on Warped Tour?

There’s for sure going to be at least one. There are about four or five of them we’re trying to pick from. We’ve made a few videos announcing that we’re going to be doing warped Tour and included the new song to get fans excited. It’s going to be a tough job to pick out which one, but it should be fun.

When you consider those songs, what criteria are you looking at to narrow them down?

The one I’m looking at is a song that has a reminiscent sound our core fans are still partial to from Creatures. It still has a lot of aspects of what the band does now, but it has a throwback feel. I want to play that one, just throw an unexpected curveball. I’m sure people are expecting a lot [of] the electronic shit we do, but this is super-heavy and super-fast right off the bat. I think that’s something we kinda need for Warped Tour, and I think it’s something we need fans to hear that’s new: Something that punches you in the face right from the beginning.
