Another Pokémon game is coming to your phone

Pokémon is slowly starting to take over our phones, considering we all have Pokémon GO while the truly hardcore fans might have Pokémon Duel or Magikarp Jump, and it's about to get even better with the announcement of Pokéland.

Unfortunately, Pokéland is currently only being alpha tested on Android devices in Japan, but we can still translate some of the features the game will have. Currently, the alpha version of the game features six different islands with 52 different stages, along with 134 different Pokémon.

Alpha testing for this game will take place from May 31 to June 9 for 10,000 lucky applicants. While details of the game are currently sparse, it appears that you'll be able to battle other Pokémon in real time combat compared to the turn based combat that the mainstream Pokémon games have. There were rumors of another Pokémon game possibly coming to mobile devices earlier in the month from a report from the Wall Street Journal. However, that was plans for a Pokémon card trading app so we may have even more Pokémon games on the way.

Kotaku reports that Pokéland is slated for release on both iOS and Android, however there is no word yet on a release in the United States, but that's not going to stop us from crossing our fingers!
