In “Dying Mrs. Gomez,” SNL featured player Melissa Villaseñor portrays a woman close to death, and she has some sage words to share with the week's guest host Brown. Those final pearls of wisdom begin with the classic couplet, “Never made it as a wise man/I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing.”

It's poetry in motion. And not that it isn't fun to sometimes rib on the Canadian rock band—who write incredible songs, according to Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan—but maybe we'd rather have a bucket of chicken at our last rites while debating the merits of Nickelback vs. Stone Sour.
