You can buy Nine Inch Nails merch from the tour that never happened

If you were hoping to catch Nine Inch Nails live this year following Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross‘ work scoring various films, you’re going to be waiting a while longer.

Reznor shares his thoughts about the plans he had for Nine Inch Nails this year on the band’s official Instagram account and shows where and when he had shows planned for that never got announced.

In the post, Reznor reveals the band were going to be continuing their “Cold and Black and Infinite Tour” this fall.

The list of shows includes two dozen shows that never got to be officially announced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The tour was kicking off in San Diego in September with stops in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, Kansas City, Philadelphia, and a whopping five shows in Toronto.

Further, some of the venues included smaller theaters and other multi-night residencies in Vancouver, Seattle, Philadelphia and more.

Jehnny Beth was set to open the tour but Reznor is encouraging fans to still check out her new record.

Now, the plan is for the band to complete more film score work, dive into new Nine Inch Nails music and hopefully reschedule tour dates for 2021.

“The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited-patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully be playing music live for you in 2021. In the meantime … listen to Jehnny’s record [To Love Is to Live] (comes out June 12th), continue to listen to Bowie, and don’t be too hard on yourself.”

The band also had merch items printed for the tour which they’re now adding to their webstore. Proceeds from the items are now going towards local food banks in the cities they were performing in.

I was just reminded today marks the two year anniversary of when we made you show up in person for the Cold and Black and Infinite tour. Strange to think about with the world the way it is now. I look forward to the day we can once again safely be in the same space and share the experience of screaming at the top of our lungs at each other. .
