Ohio-based Nine Shrines have announced their signing to Mascot Label Group and their debut EP, Misery, which will release April 21.

The band contain ex-Attack Attack! drummer Andrew Wetzel, ex-Life On Repeat guitarist Andrew Baylis and ex-Life On Repeat bassist Devon Voisine. Wetzel, Baylis and Voisine play alongside guitarist Evan McKeever (ex-Downplay) and frontman Chris Parketny (ex-Strangers To Wolves).

To commemorate this big announcement, Nine Shrines are premiering a new video for “King Of Mercy.”

Not only that, but the band have organized plans for a tour with Hinder and Nonpoint.

Even though Baylis and Wetzel crossed paths on the road, they had never formally met.

“I wasn’t sure I wanted to be in another band at first, but we were talking for a couple of weeks after being put in touch by a mutual friend. He was living in Ocean City, Maryland at the time and had sent some demos over,” Wetzel says. “He was recording and said why don’t you come out here, and we can start writing some music and see what happens. We had still not met, and next thing I know I put a bunch of shit in my car, clothes and laundry basket and started traveling to meet this guy.”

Wetzel played in Attack Attack! from 2007 to the band's end in 2013.
