Nintendo is releasing a Pikachu-themed 2DS, and it's a Pokémon fan must-have

Good news, Pokémon fans! Nintendo will be releasing an adorable, Pikachu-themed 2DS, and it'll be hitting shelves at the end of the month.

The new 2DS announcement coincides with the announcement of the release of Detective Pikachu, an adventure game set to be released March 23, as Rolling Stone reports.
Nintendo's 2DS system features a Pikachu design, with a yellow background and a “stylized close-up of Pikachu’s face.”

It's set to be released Jan. 26, and it's an adorable must-have for all Pokémon fans.
And speaking of Pikachu, it was announced back in December that Ryan Reynolds is starring in a forthcoming, live-action Pokémon movie, Detective Pikachu. The Deadpool star will be starring alongside Justice Smith, who's starring in the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as Kathryn Newton, who stars in Big Little Lies, with shooting expected to start mid-January in London.
