Nirvana gets Kanye West gospel cover with Sunday Service choir

Kanye West featured a Nirvana song at his latest Sunday Service session, which features a gospel choir and is usually attended by famous people.

This past week, the choir and Kanye put their spin on Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.

The rendition gave a totally different vibe to the track, with the version even cleaning up some of the lyrics to make them more church-friendly. You can listen to it below.

Kanye previously took his Sunday Service to Coachella for Easter. One Coachella attendee apparently sold grass from the performance at the festival on eBay.

The grass was on sale on the site for $100 plus $7.85 shipping, which is definitely a hefty price for some grass that the rapper might have stepped on.

There is a photo of a bag of grass that appears to be taken at the show, which is the only kind of proof that it’s real.

The description reads that the condition of the grass is “magical.”

“Blessed on Easter Sunday by the god himself, KANYE WEST,” the caption reads. You can check out the listing here.

The same seller is also selling Kanye’s controversial merch from Coachella and another bag of grass with a higher price tag.

Let’s not forget that Kanye was initially supposed to headline the festival, but was pulled because they refused to build him a giant dome as part of his stage set up.

More Nirvana news

Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic has the best response after Spotify accidentally posted that Nirvana had an upcoming concert in August.

One fan noted the news on Twitter when he was alerted of the false concert.

The post read “upcoming concerts near you by artists you love.”

Novoselic saw the post and had the most hilarious response.

“I could make this show, but will take some work to pull it off. Otherwise, I do have gigs in August —— Check out giantsinthetrees.com for time and place,” he wrote.

We wish there was somehow an upcoming Nirvana gig, but this truly was a hilarious mistake.
