Noah Centineo, ‘Riverdale’ actress to star in Netflix rom-com

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actor Noah Centineo has been cast alongside Riverdale actress Camila Mendes in Netflix’s The Perfect Date. The film will also star Lady Bird’s Laura Marano.

According to PopSugar, the film is based around a boy by the name of Brooks Rattigan (Centineo) who raises money for college by starting his own dating app. The app lets people in need of a romantic partner rent him out for a date or family gatherings.

However, the logline reveals Centineo’s plot struggle. Even despite his entrepreneurial plan, “playing a different character every night of the week leads him to question who he really is… and who he wants to be with.”

“He plays an enterprising young man who, to make money for college, creates a dating app & stands in for non-existent boyfriends,” Netflix says of Centineo’s role.

A few released stills suggest that Centineo may be of service to both Mendes’ and Marano’s characters. Check out a first look of The Perfect Date from Netflix below.

According to TVguide.com, the Netflix original film is slated to release on the streaming service this forthcoming summer. However, there is no concrete date for release just yet.
