Norma Jean just dropped a brand new song “[Mind Over Mind]” after announcing their upcoming eighth studio album All Hail.

The new record will be the first since the band’s 2016 album Polar Similar.

Since that record, the band’s lineup has changed quite a lot. No original member has been part of the band since 2015.

Also, the new album will be the first release since the departure of longtime guitarist Jeff Hickey.

Hickey has been with the band since 2011, but the two parties will be separating to allow him to focus on his battle with alcohol addiction.

“Jeff is an incredible musician, but more importantly he is a brother to us – and right now, we need to be his brothers before his bandmates,” the band says.

The new song gives fans a taste at what Norma Jean will sound like on the new record. You can listen to “[Mind Over Mind]” below.

Frontman Cory Brandan previously explained that their 2016 album “was definitely a record where we felt like we ended a trilogy…so now where I think we are was, how do we just switch it up and just really go for something totally off the wall, without losing our self?”

He continued: “We started with a lot of ‘I don’t knows’ and by the time we finished it we were blown away on our own…I’ve never heard Norma Jean like this…It’s new territory for sure, but I’m pretty pumped on it.”

Norma Jean shared a brief teaser for the new record featuring numerous social media posts with the phrase “all hail the almighty Norma Jean.” The band also gave their “thanks to the diehards for naming LP8.”

Norma Jean will hop on in support of Fit For A King on their upcoming summer tour. Limited presale and VIP tickets are on sale now. You can check out the full list of dates below.
