Of Mice & Men vocalist Aaron Pauley recently shared a hilarious anecdote about their song “Would You Still Be There.” Apparently, the song was censored by the BBC all thanks to some misheard lyrics.

Of course, the line in the song in question reads, “If I could find the words, if I could shake the world.” However, the BBC misheard the lyrics as “shit the world.”

“I remembered when BBC censored ‘Would You Still Be There’ because they thought I was saying, ‘If I could find the words, If I could shit the world,’” Pauley recalls in a tweet.

Additionally, guitarist Alan Ashby interacted with the tweet, saying, “That’s not the lyrics?????”

To make matters even funnier, Pauley responded, saying that’s now how he sings the song live.

However, it looks like the BBC weren’t the only ones who misheard the song. Additionally, it appears as though there may be a few spots that were once up for interpretation.

Recently, OM&M revealed they would be canceling a string of dates due to a medical emergency. It was later revealed that their vocalist, Pauley, underwent surgery.

“On Monday, April 8th, Aaron became aware of a medical issue requiring immediate surgery,” the band say in a statement. “The surgery was performed yesterday without incident, and the issue is currently being evaluated. He has been advised that the absolute minimum recovery time is two weeks from today. Therefore we’re sorry to report that we have no choice but to cancel the start of our dates with Beartooth. As it currently stands, we will now be starting the tour at So What Festival in Houston on April 27th.”
