On July 17, Tree released his debut album Ugly Is Beautiful. Since its release, the LP quickly made history. The album debuted as the No.1 Alternative Album on iTunes and Apple Music. As well, Ugly is Beautiful debuted at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart and Alternative Albums Chart. To date, the album has earned over 50 million streams.

Now, Tree is teaming up with grandson and Francis for the “Cash Machine (Remix).” For the fresh dance remix, the song has a newly energized sound that trades in its original acoustic strums for electric power chords. Francis adds in his signature EDM drop while grandson’s “new wave nostalgia” grit can be heard throughout, all of which truly transform the track.

“Cash Machine” isn’t the only Ugly Is Beautiful song to be revisited since the album’s release. Back in July, Tree released a reworked version of “Let Me Down” with the help of blink-182.

Prior to the release of the blink-182 collab, Tree shared on Twitter that blink-182 are his “childhood heroes.” Mark Hoppus’ bassline is featured throughout the collab while his vocals appear during the second verse and bridge. Travis Barker adds in his signature drumming which gives “Let Me Down” that well-known blink-182 feel. Matt Skiba‘s guitar further infuses blink’s punk rock sound into the new song.

“Let Me Down (feat. blink-182)” went on to debut at No. 24 on Billboard’s Hot Alternative Songs Chart.

Outside of music, Tree is breaking records. He recently broke the Guinness World Record for building the world’s largest kick-scooter, which he eventually crashed.
