Former Nirvana drummer says he’s up for a band reunion

Former Nirvana drummer Chad Channing has said that he would be willing to reunite with the band’s other surviving members. Speaking in a new interview with NME, Channing was all for a band reunion with members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.

When asked if he would reunite with the other band members, Channing—who contributed to Nirvana's debut Bleach and the song “Polly”—told NME the following: “Yeah, if they wanted me to. It'd maybe be something like Dave playing guitar and singing and Krist doing bass. That'd be about the only arrangement I could think of that we cold [sic] pull off.”

Nirvana were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame earlier in 2014, but Channing was excluded from the ceremony, despite his contributions to Bleach and “Polly.” He told NME, “I'm fine about it actually. I've always sort of felt that for me, everything's so much more about the music than the accolades.”

This news follows Courtney Love’s recent announcement that work on a biopic about legendary Nirvana forntman Kurt Cobain should begin within a year.
