Outside Lands gets green light to sell cannabis on festival grounds

The 12th annual Outside Lands, the world’s first gourmet music festival, is set to kick off Aug. 9-11 with one major addition to this year’s event. Starting tomorrow, fans will notice the return of Grass Lands with a new twist.

This year, Grass Lands will not only continue to promote education about cannabis but also allow for the sale and consumption of the product within its designated areas.

This addition will make Outside Lands the first major U.S. festival to offer cannabis for sale and consumption to attendees of age.

Grass Lands will return with the Town Square presented by Eaze, bringing the marketplace to life while highlighting new innovations within the industry.

The area will also feature The Greenhouse where festival-goers can learn how cannabis helps you “rise,” “refresh,” and “rest.”

BLOOM FARMS will also present The Farmhouse which will allow for terpene tastings.

To enter Grass Lands, attendees will have to show a government-issued photo I.D. proving they are at least 21-years-old.

Outside Lands will take place Aug. 9-11 in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park. The lineup features headline performances from Paul Simon, Twenty One Pilots and Childish Gambino, joined by Flume, Kacey Musgraves, The Lumineers, Ella Mai, blink-182, Kygo, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Leon Bridges, Mavis Staples, Counting Crows, Bebe Rexha and more.
