Ozzy Osbourne cancels entire European leg of tour due to health issues

Ozzy Osbourne has postponed the entirety of his UK and European leg of tour due to illness.

Yesterday, we reported that Osbourne, 70, was postponing the first four dates due to the flu and bronchitis.  However, he’s been forced to cancel the entire leg with Judas Priest due to a more severe health condition than he previously thought.

According to People, Osbourne paid his doctor a second visit and was diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection. The doctor was worried that touring could make the infection worse and it could develop into pneumonia.

“I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour,” Osbourne says in a statement. “It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s—.”

“I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September,” he continued.

The tour was slated to start Wednesday in Dublin. The next leg of the tour begins in Australia, New Zealand and Japan starting in March.

This isn’t the first time health issues have caused Ozzy to back out of recent gigs. Last year, the rock icon postponed a group of shows before cancelling an entire tourfollowing a hand infection that forced Osbourne to undergo surgery.

But fear not, Ozzy fans, for the Great Ozz claims he actually isn’t retiring any time soon, even though his current European jaunt (and subsequent North American concerts) are being billed as the rockstar’s final comprehensive world tour.
