Here’s why Ozzy Osbourne isn’t a fan of face tattoos

Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to tattoos. In a recent interview, the Black Sabbath frontman opened up about his experiences getting tattooed over the years. As well, he shared his opinion on the ever-growing face tattoo trend.

According to Osbourne, there’s one particular reason why he will never get a face tattoo.

Face tattoos have been on the rise in popular culture over the past few years. Artists such as Post Malone, Lil Peep, Trippie Redd and Lil Wayne are widely known for the visible ink on their faces. For Osbourne, however, he is not a big fan of face tattoos.

During an interview on his radio show Ozzy’s Boneyard, Osbourne reveals that he thinks face tattoos make people “look dirty.”

“I would never do that,” he says. “Anything above the collar should be stopped. To be honest, it makes you look dirty.”

He goes on to further discuss how he handles pain while getting tattooed. He believes that tattoos actually get more painful as you get older.

“They reckon that as you get older it hurts more,” he adds. “When I started getting this fucking sleeve I was like, ‘I am too old, stop.'”

Osbourne also shares that he continued to get tattooed as he got older, a decision he still questions to this day.

“I was fifty-something and I was like, ‘What the fuck are you doing?'” he says. “When he [the tattoo artist] got my elbows I was like, ‘What are you doing? What are you paying this fucking asshole to do?'”

Outside of discussing tattoos on Ozzy’s Boneyard, a biopic about him and Sharon Osbourne is in its “very early stages.” Last week, we learned that Jack Osbourne‘s production company is working on the new biopic. According to Jack, the project is in early development and it has a writer.

“We have a writer,” Jack said. “We said to go from 1979 to 1996. I can’t say too much, but the film is an active development.”

Osbourne further shared that that biopic will depict his relationship with Sharon up until their marriage.

“From what I understand, it’s about Sharon and I and our relationship,” he said. “It’s how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She’s my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her. We celebrated 38 years of marriage just recently.”

As well, last month, Sharon revealed that her husband is currently working on new music. Along with giving an update on his health, she said that Ozzy is working on his next album with producer Andrew Watt.

Ozzy released his latest solo album Ordinary Man back in February 2020. The album was produced by Watt and was recorded while Ozzy recovered from his surgery and other related illnesses.

“The album was sensational,” Sharon said. “He’s starting his second album with Andrew Watt right now. And you can’t stop him. He’s doing it.”
