Just over a week ago Ozzy Osbourne was forced to cancel the entirety of his UK and European tour due to a severe upper respiratory infection. Now, Sharon Osbourne has taken to Twitter to reveal that Ozzy was admitted to the hospital following complications from the flu.
Originally, Ozzy’s European and UK tour dates were postponed in late January following a run-in with the flu and bronchitis.
According to People, Osbourne paid his doctor a second visit and was diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection. The doctor was worried that touring could make the infection worse and it could develop into pneumonia.
“I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour,” Osbourne says in a statement. “It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s—.”
“I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September,” he continued.
Now it seems like complications from these previous health issues have landed Ozzy in the hospital.
“As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu,” Sharon writes on Twitter. “His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”

According to The Blast, Ozzy was checked into Keck Hospital of USC on Monday. Sharon and his son Jack also showed up at the hospital following his admission.
Sources tell The Blast that Sharon left for a short moment returning with a blanket and a suitcase, signs that she had no intention of leaving his side.
It was later revealed that Sharon missed Tuesday’s taping of The Talk.
The next scheduled run for Ozzy’s tour kicks off March 9 in Australia, with shows in New Zealand and Japan following shortly after.
AP sends our thoughts and well wishes to Ozzy and his family during this time.
