Ozzy Osbourne re-releases plushy for anniversary of biting bat's head off

Last January, Ozzy Osbourne released a bat plushy with a removable head in honor of the anniversary of him biting a bat’s head off on stage and for the 38th anniversary, he’s re-releasing the toy.

The Prince Of Darkness made a post celebrating the anniversary while letting fans know they can get their hands on the toy over at his webstore.

“Today marks the 38th Anniversary since I bit a head off a f*cking bat! To celebrate get your 12″ plush bat with detachable head now,” the post reads.

You can pick up your own plush bat toy over at Ozzy Osbourne’s website. The plushies are webstore exclusives and run for $40.

The event that inspired the plush was originally met with skepticism and a ton of backlash. A lot of people thought the bat was fake. Additionally, many people think Osbourne himself thought the bat was fake before taking a chomp out of the poor bat’s neck.

According to a documentary, Osbourne thought the bat was plastic. Additionally, he had to get rabies shots for 30 days following the incident.

It’s one of the most notorious moments not only in Osbourne’s career but metal and music history as a whole.
