Yesterday, Palaye Royale’s Sebastian Danzig was arrested after throwing his coffee on someone who allegedly attempted to hit a dog with their car. However, the Palaye Royale guitarist is now facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Now, Danzig has been released from jail, and took to Instagram to share his full side of the story.

Before his post, the band updated fans about what had happened to their guitarist yesterday.

“@sebastiandanzig just got arrested outside the venue,” the band say in an Instagram post. “Let’s see if he makes it to tomorrow sold out show!”

The band then go on to describe the circumstances of Danzig’s arrest.

“A guy in a car tried to hit Mishka (adorable little dog) with his car. Sebastian threw his coffee at him,” the band continue in the post. “Later he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Great job policeman, keeping the world safe!”

Danzig shared a much more extensive story along with some fanart depicting the incident.

“‪I am out. Jail is a scary place but got me to thinking how lucky I am to be free to do whatever I want and be who I am,” the post begins.

“For the story, I was walking my dog across the street in Worcester, Massachusetts and a guy accelerated with purpose to run me over,” he said. “I threw my coffee at his car. He slammed on his breaks and jump out of his car while screaming all the non-sense. The cops were very nice and did what they had to do according to the law but unfortunate the driver just was able to drive away and I spent hours in jail while wearing house slippers.”

He then said he had a court case at 8:30 a.m. this morning.

“Luckily I have good people around me that could help locate the best representation in Massachusetts. Terrible thing is that telling the truth ultimately made things worse and this will be quite a silly but very serious journey,” he said.  “Processing this all is the interesting part and the fact coffee is assault with a deadly weapon is beyond me.”

He then finished to just tell fans his intentions before everything went down.

“ALL I WAS TRYING TO DO IS TAKE MY DOG TO THE BATHROOM,” he said.
