Palaye Royale address “gun violence epidemic,“ raise funds with new song

After teasing the “most political song Palaye Royale has released to date” early last week, the trio have dropped their new song “Massacre, The New American Dream.”

The rock trio signed with Sumerian Records in 2015 releasing Boom Boom Boom (Side A) and Boom Boom Room (Side B) in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Their next album, The Bastards, will capture huge changes for the rock group. The band have hopes of finishing the album this month, delivering it to their label and then hopefully the world come Valentine’s Day.

Palaye Royale have previously released three videos for their tracks “Hang Onto Yourself,” “Nervous Breakdown” and “Fucking With My Head” off the new album. Guitarist Sebastian Danzig revealed the name of the new track in an interview with AltPress where the band discussed their upcoming album.

“We’re actually focused on things that are happening in our lives and everyone else’s lives around us,” he reveals. ‘Massacre, The American Dream’ is like that: We’re writing about gun violence and things actually happening in the world, thinking that we can have a small voice in this really big world. If we have a little bit of a voice, we’re going to use it.”

Palaye Royale are looking to exhibit their own creativity in the ever-changing world that often seems unfairly cruel in the wake of a rise in gun violence in our country.

“It’s a new era,” Danzig says. “I think we just really wanted to push the boundaries more so than just being able to talk about it.”

The rock trio took to Twitter late last night to reveal that their new track, “Massacre, The New American Dream,” is available everywhere for streaming. Proceeds made from the single sales will be donated to March of Our Lives and Giffords: Courage To Fight Gun Violence.

Fans quickly took to Twitter to rave over the new single and to thank Palaye Royale for their selfless charitable act.

Just an hour after releasing the new track, Palaye Royale took to Twitter again to respond to a fans statement about gun violence, fighting for the rights of the people and “Masasace: The New American Dream.”

This is a protest. In hopes to give this new generation a revolution in the form of an anthem. We are all on the verge of waking up and truly understanding that people should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of their people.
