Pale Waves have announced their new album, Unwanted. The project is set to release Aug. 12 via Dirty Hit.

Additionally, the band released the record’s lead single, “Lies.” The track is accompanied by a music video.

“Lies” is filled with crunchy guitars and a rhythmic power that would be at home in a 2000s pop-punk track. Frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie spoke about her inspiration for the song in a press release.

“‘Lies’ is about someone who built up my trust and destroyed it like a wrecking ball,” she says. “It caused trust issues for myself, but fortunately for me, that person is no longer in my life. Once you do me wrong, you’re gone!”

Starting in June, Pale Waves will embark on a run of U.S. headline shows before touring as main support for 5 Seconds Of Summer‘s U.S. tour. Look below for tour dates and get your tickets here.
