Pandora is apparently feelin' that holiday spirit—and you're the beneficiary! The streaming service is currently offering a free trial session of its Premium subscription tier, as reported by Variety. Get all the details below.

Starting today, Dec. 14, Pandora will let its ad-supported and Plus users listen to music on demand, as covered at The Verge—all you have to do is watch a 15-second pre-roll ad. That's right, instead of only having access to the radio stations based on artists or songs you like (as Pandora's ad-supported and Plus tiers usually work), you now can have free rein over Pandora Premium without paying the customary $10-a-month subscription fee.

How to do it? Just fire up Pandora on your device and do a search for one of your favorite albums, artists or songs. Once you select, you'll be given the option to view that 15-second advertisement video and unlock a free Pandora Premium session, where you can listen to anything you want. Variety notes that it's currently unclear exactly how long this free Premium trial will last—so hop on it now and listen to all the music your heart desires!

Once you've enabled the free Premium session, there won't be any more video ads during playback. However, The Verge makes clear that if you search for a new tune or artist, or click on an album or song link from outside the app, you will have to watch a 15-second ad again. Hey, Pandora's obviously trying to keep up with Spotify—the service with a reported 25-percent conversion rate from its free tier to a paid sub—so why not give give it a go?

If you've ever wanted to dip your toe in the water of Pandora Premium, now is definitely the time. Get your holiday groove on and jam out to some fave tunes. Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think.
