According to a new report, Wilson was pulled over by Las Vegas police on Jan. 22.
TMZ reports that Brent Wilson was arrested after Las Vegas police pulled him over for crossing three lanes of traffic without a turn signal and cutting off oncoming traffic. During the stop, an officer noticed a bag with a “white substance” inside sitting on the center console in Wilson’s car.
The discovery prompted a search where police found more substances consistent with coke and heroin in both Wilson’s pockets and inside the car. They also found a scale and a lot of other bags. Along with this, police also came across a loaded handgun.
Wilson, who was already on probation for a previous offense, was then arrested and taken to jail. Now, he has been charged with possession with intent to sell and possession of a gun by a prohibited person.
His attorney, Dustin Marcello, told TMZ that it’s “too early to make a call on the merits of the case.”
As we all remember, Brent Wilson was sacked from Panic! At The Disco back in 2006 and replaced by Jon Walker. Wilson helped start the band in 2004 alongside original guitarist Ryan Ross, drummer Spencer Smith and frontman Brendon Urie.
“I was kicked out of the band,” Wilson told MTV in 2006. “It was 100 percent a surprise to me. We were about to leave for a show in California, and they called me the night before and told me I was out of the band. The only reason they gave was that it was for ‘musical purposes.’ Everything was good and fine, we had just gotten back from a tour in Europe, and there had been no previous conversations about anyone leaving the band.”
“Brent did not write any of his bass parts on [the album],” he said. “Brent did not record one note of bass on the record. Brendon and Ryan wrote all of the bass parts, and Brendon recorded all of the bass parts. We had to simplify some of the bass parts that were recorded because Brent could not play them live.”
