Panic! At The Disco's "High Hopes" certified platinum
Congratulations are in order to Panic! At The Disco once again!
Brendon Urie & co. have hit two huge milestones. “High Hopes” has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Plus, the band’s latest album, Death of a Bachelor, received a certification as well.

We already knew that “High Hopes” is a huge success. Last month, Panic! At The Disco earned their second Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 spot with “High Hopes.” “High Hopes” jumped from No. 12 to No. 8 for the week ending Nov. 24.
The achievement marked the second time the band have hit Top 10 status as “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” peaked at No. 7 on the chart ending Aug. 26, 2006.
But it didn’t stop there. The track kept climbing the Billboard charts, becoming their highest-charting song to date. For the week ending on Dec. 1, “High Hopes” jumped from No. 8 to No. 6.
Now, we have further proof of how big the track really is: “High Hopes” has been certified platinum by the RIAA after selling one million units. Yes, you read that right: ONE MILLION.
The song’s success isn’t isolated, though. Panic!’s latest full-length release Pray For The Wicked also received a certification. The album has been certified gold after selling half a million units.
Pray For The Wicked has had two songs hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Alternative songs chart. “High Hopes” got No. 1 following another popular release from the album, “Say Amen (Saturday Night),” which also topped Billboard’s charts.

In other Panic!-related news, the band recently announced the second leg of their Pray For The Wicked Tour. The North American tour will feature support from Two Feet.
