Panic! At The Disco talk growing up with music, inspirations—watch

Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie tried playing the trumpet in school, but wasn’t really good at it.

The frustration almost made him gave up on music, shares ones of his teachers on the first episode of Neighborhood of Good, a series of videos the band did in a partnership with State Farm.

The musician has become a mentor at the Boys & Girls Club to influence kids and help them build confidence to follow their dreams and is sharing the experience in a series of videos.

On the first episode, Urie reflects about how music helped him get through being bullied in school. Plus, we see his mother, Nani Urie, and music teacher discuss his talents and dreams.

Panic! At The Disco shared the video on Twitter, writing “Real talk, I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for those who inspired me throughout my childhood.”
