Papa Roach comment on the current state of America in new music video for “American Dreams”

Papa Roach pulls no punches when it comes to politics, and they’re continuing that with their music video for “American Dreams,” where the band go all in on the current state of America’s political affairs.

The song, which is the latest single off of Crooked Teeth, represents the hurt America is going through right now.

“America is struggling, America is divided, America is hurting right now,” explains Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “We’re at a fever pitch of confusion, smoke and mirrors, blatant lies. The American Dream is on the chopping block.”

Shot in Shaddix’s hometown of Sacramento, the video features a cast of real-life Americans fighting to create their own version of the American Dream—and addresses many of the issues preventing them from attaining it.

Earlier this month, the band were forced to cancel their August tour dates due to Shaddix’s immediate vocal surgery and rest. You can see the band's full statement here.
