Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix undergoes vocal cord surgery, cancels tour

Papa Roach were forced to cancel their August tour dates due to the need for frontman Jacoby Shaddix to undergo immediate vocal surgery and rest. You can see the band's full statement below.

The band took to Facebook to reveal Shaddix was advised by his doctors and vocal specialists to have immediate surgery on his vocal chord, and to give his vocal muscles enough time to heal before Papa Roach resumed their touring schedule. 

Luckily, the band states the diagnosis was made early and a full recovery is to be expected. You can see their full statement below.

 

Shaddix posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed, thanking fans for the kind words and well wishes.
