Back in 2018, fans heard the news that the American Satan spin-off series Paradise City was in the works. After receiving the first teaser on May 1, fans have been anxiously awaiting to hear when the show will air.

Since Paradise City‘s announcement, various details regarding the show have been released. Back in May, the first look into Randy Blythe‘s band in Paradise City was revealed. As well, Black Veil Brides‘ Andy BiersackAsking Alexandria‘s Ben Bruce and James CassellsBella ThorneBooBoo Stewart and late actor Cameron Boyce are all starring in the spin-off.

In August, Biersack shared some exclusive details to Alternative Press about the fate of his character in Paradise City.

“When we first started this whole thing,” he said. “I was several months into my sobriety and playing a character who was going down the other path where he was getting into the darkness and all that stuff. And so that was a really interesting twist. But then with [Paradise City], Johnny’s on the other side. He’s trying to make his life better. But all of the demons from his past are making it more difficult for him to do that. And so I’m very little like Johnny. Other than our faces are the same.”

Despite the details that have been released so far, a premiere date for the series is still unknown. In fact, Paradise City offered an update on its status back in September. Due to the unpredictable of this year, the show was still looking for a network to call home at the time.

“We know you’ve been waiting for news. a date. a streaming home. an official trailer. thank you for your patience. we are in the very final stages of finishing the deal and the season. covid has caused things to move much slower this year but we are happy to tell you the wait is truly almost over. I know this isn’t as good as watching a trailer with answers but certain things have been out of our hands. the wait will be worth it, that we can promise you. we love you guys and your continued support. we will show Hollywood how powerful rock & roll and the community that calls it home is in 2020.”

Now, it looks like Paradise City finally has a release date and network. As well, fans can expect to see the official trailer for the series sometime soon. On Wednesday, Paradise City shared an exclusive teaser of Olivia Culpo‘s character Gretchen along with the news that both the premiere date and trailer are arriving this month.

In terms of the first season’s plot, there is still a lot to be known. It is confirmed that Biersack, Bruce and Stewart are reprising their American Satan roles. As well, Thorne is joining the Relentless as Lily Mayweather. Sleeping With Sirens‘ Kellin Quinn and Juliet Simms are also expected to appear in the first season.

Biersack did reveal to Alternative Press that a lot of these characters’ storylines are not connected in the show. So, unfortunately, we may not be getting the Andy and Juliet screen time we’ve been hoping for in Paradise City.

“Our storylines don’t really cross at all in the show,” he said. “I think there’s one scene at the end where we end up in the same situation at some point. I don’t want to spoil anything. But our storylines are different. Her storyline and her band are this whole separate thing in the show that people don’t really know. This show is not just American Satan, too. It’s a whole different group of people that you’re learning about and following. And I know that Ben’s character had some scenes with Juliet’s band and members of Juliet’s band later.”

As well, Bruce and Biersack also recently talked about reprising their American Satan roles in an interview with Alternative Press. Regardless of when Paradise City finally arrives, fans can expect plenty of twists, cameos and possible love triangles in the first season.

The Paradise City teaser is available to watch below. Since its release on May 1, it has been viewed over 17 million times.
