Along with BTS pictures and videos, singer Hayley Williams explained the concept behind the video—and it might make you cry.

“In the video, the car became the symbol of security, strength in numbers, and unity,” the singer wrote.

The band kicked off the celebrations by sharing some iPhone pictures and videos of the video shoot. “Told You So” was directed by drummer Zac Farro alongisde Aaron Joseph.

That's when Hayley got all nostalgic and decided to share the story of how the video came to be.

“The concept for the TYS video originated with a drive to the Pacific ocean,” she explained.  “We were listening to music and laughing at something and Zac said, 'Hayley, I haven’t seen you so peaceful since we were kids,' and I said, 'I feel safe in this car right now, with my friends headed to a beach where no one can reach me.'”

“'No one knows where I am except whoever’s here right now and there’s something nice about that'.”

We're not crying, you're crying!

the concept for the TYS video originated with a drive to the pacific ocean, which we’d take most sundays when we stayed in silverlake, CA to finish After Laughter. we were listening to music and laughing at something and zac said, “hayley, i haven’t seen you so peaceful since we were kids.” and i said, “i feel safe in this car right now, with my friends. headed to a beach where no one can reach me. my phone won’t even have signal. no one knows where i am except whoever’s here right now and there’s something nice about that.” – hayley (of course it’s me, every nostalgic post is me,help) . . in the video, the car became the symbol of security, strength in numbers, and unity – which is also signified by the super matchy outfits.
