Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump said in an Entertainment Weekly exclusive that he will be composing the score for Wonderland, the modern short take on Alice In Wonderland.

With a twist on the whimsical Lewis Carroll tale, Wonderland will explore struggles, aggressions and inequality that often happen to women in the entertainment industry. Directed by Jessica Sherif, production on the film is said to begin next month. Yetide Badaki from American Gods is set to star in the main role.

It comes as no surprise that the Fall Out Boy frontman was the chosen man for the job. Stump has worked on various movie projects such as Gnome Alone, Lego Batman and forthcoming Seth Green film Changeland.

“When you’re doing a score, it’s kind of like acting, really, because you have to get in the head of a character,” Stump said in the exclusive, “whereas with Fall Out Boy, if I’m writing a song, I’m going to have to get onstage every night and sing that. It’s really for me. Writing a song is more—not selfish, but you’re focused on what you would want, whereas in a film you’re just focused on telling the story.”
