Patrick Stewart seen on set of 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Earlier this year, Patrick Stewart claimed he would likely not be reprising his role as Professor X in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film, as the story is set to focus on the rebooted First Class cast of mutants. However, sharp-witted X-Men fans have noticed that Stewart is likely on set of the movie's filming.

In an Instagram photo sent off by director Bryan Singer, Patrick Stewart can be seen at a filming session of Apocalypse in civilian clothes, commenting on some off-screen action. While Singer has since claimed that Stewart was just visiting the set, it would not be outrageous to expect a cameo from the original Professor X in Apocalypse.

Apocalypse is out May 27, 2016.
