Previously, the film debuted at this year’s SXSW festival and totally wowed critics and fans who got a chance to see it early. Also, King himself says the film is “fucking great,” so we can’t wait to run straight to the cinema this weekend and prepare to be scared.

You can watch the spooky new trailer, directly below, and prep for the movie’s release this Friday.

Also, while we’re at it, here are the first two trailers so you can really prepare for the film’s release.

In case you aren’t familiar with the story, Pet Sematary is based off of King’s 1983 novel and the 1989 movie adaptation.

Jason Clarke and Amy Seimetz play Louis and Rachel Creed in the film. Also, Jeté Laurence will play Ellie and three-year-old twins Hugo and Lucas Lavoie will be Gage, her little brother.

The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widnyer.

You can also read Paramount Picture’s synopsis below:

“Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
